SOME DESCENDANTS OF JOHN NORTON OF BRANFORD, 1522 - 1709 - A genealogical CD-ROM, copyright 2005, genealogyfinder.com. This CD-R contains the scanned images of this wonderful 67-page family history in which Walter Whittlesey Norton traces the descendants of John Norton from England to the United States. In addition to a descendant report, the author included a few other records, land info, a list of other books on this family, notes on English ancestry and an index. There are black and white pictures of Lot Norton 1st, 1733-1810; Lot Norton 2nd, 1769-1847; and Lot Norton 3rd, 1803-1880. The rare original was paper bound with the large brads of the time.

These images were scanned to .pdf and require Adobe Reader to view. Reader is available for free from www.adobe.com. The images were digitally enhanced for the best possible quality. Because we try to preserve the books and not "break them down" during the scanning process, some of the pages may be a bit crooked. We scan using grey scale, which makes the file a bit larger, but helps to keep the text crisp. There may be an off-white background, depending on the quality of the original. Sometimes there may also be a "halo" shadow from the scan. Some of our original books were in poor condition, but if the original is readable, the CD image will be also. These are such great resources, a few blemishes should be acceptable for such old, rare books.
