Erath County Texas Bride Index & Groom Index
We indexed and digitally reproduced 11,805 marriage records from 1868 - 1921. The names were indexed as entered in the Erath County Marriage Books, regardless of errors in those originals. Alternate spellings are also included in this index. Interpretation of difficult handwriting was as accurate as possible.
Digital copies of the actual marriage records are available for $6.50 EACH. Texas residents: Bill will advise about sales tax. The Erath County Clerk, 100 W Washington Stephenville, TX 76401, provides only certified copies for $10. OUR FILE number is NOT what the Co. Clerk uses.
NOTE - Although Erath County was organized in 1856, a court house fire destroyed records prior to 1869. These marriage records begin in 1869, with one recorded marriage from 1868.
